If Your going To Do Something, At Least Be The Best

If you suck at something, be better.
I was in a fast food mood yesterday afternoon and I wanted a burger. Decided to go through a drive thru, cause people like me don't waste time.
So, there I was - waiting in the drive thru window while the lady behind the glass is sipping on a small cup of what appeared to be Orange Fanta. The same drink I so happen to order for my meal. Good stuff, I have a taste tester, sitting here plain as day partaking of the nectar for which I was also awaiting my own cup.
She politely handed me my meal, we both smiled - I drove off, unsuspecting..
After reaching my destination, I felt a bit parched - I sipped. OMG. My drink tasted like seltzer water and lime. Aweful.
What I then realized was that this kind lady at the drive thru was actually taste testing the Orange Fanta to confirm that is was as horrid as I just realized it was, all the while handing me a cup of this drink so I can gag on it miles later after leaving with my food.
Why did I just tell you this - simple, noob. Before you decide to be mediocre at a job or career, or whatever it is you make minimum wage doing. Try staying away from things that you either don't like or you have ultimately determined that you are horrible at doing.
For instance. If you like animals - learn about them, study them, practice your skills. Michael Jordan is a great example. Micheal was not the best at basketball in high school, he couldn't even make varsity for his school. What happened to him though? He practiced, day in and day out. He won a championship with the University of North Carolina and went on to win many championship rings with the Chicago Bulls. He was not the best at basketball, but he was the best at practicing, which made him better. He loved basketball.
If you love something, be good at that - you will in turn be doing a service to everyone else and hopefully won't be handing out sour drinks at a fast food joint, anytime soon.
