Don't Buy Until You Try!

Have you ever bought something that you had no idea how to use, fix, or maintain? Happens all the time. People buy things without taking a moments thought at what it takes to keep that purchase in good condition and working like it should.
Take a car for instance - nice looking noob ride like a Ford Focus or something. You spend your dads hard earned cash on your first car, take it for a spin and your out of gas. You proceed to pump your noobmobile full of premium gas in an effort to pep that engine up from a 2.0 liter to a whopping 3.0! You did however, forget to read the manual.
If you had read the instructions before buying this car, you would have realized that even though it sits 4 comfortably - it won't go over 60 miles an hour without first turning off the A/C. Dang! You forgot to do your homework.
Just as you would never go out and spend $15,000 on a car, why would you go out and buy a house that you don't know how to care for? People do it all the time, believe it or not. Stuffing hard paper down toilet bowls, leaving air filters in the A/C for 6 months or a year without changing them.. even forgetting to water the lawn till they get a letter from the homeowners association.
If you are going to take on the task of buying anything, do your homework and learn a bit about your purchase before you go blowing your cash on something you know nothing about.
